I am an eighteen year old single mother of a one year old girl. I have been living in a shelter since the birth of my daughter and since that time I have earned my GED, learned to drive, and begun college. I am now being asked to leave the shelter as my daughter is one year. I would very much like to stay in school but do not know how I can care for my daughter, attend classes, and pay rent on an apartment. I have been homeless off and on since I was 17 and I would like to make a better life for myself and my child. Please tell me if you know of grants to individuals for housing assistance.
